#CES/Jason Bateman films first Electus spot at CES

Around 8 this morning I was sitting in a practically empty room waiting for the Electus keynote when actor Jason Bateman sat down right next to me.  “No way, are you the surprise partner announcement this morning” I asked.  Wow, is Electus developing its own Arrested Development.” “Filming it right here, right now” he said.  And just as he promised in the middle of Ben Silverman talking about the partnership will Yahoo! Richard Dreyfuss stumbled onstage for a Curb-like cameo.  Bummer most press were over at the Nokia keynote, it was one of the few fun moments of the conference.  I’ll write more about this and some of the clever things said by Dick Glover at Funny or Die, Illeana Douglas and Richard Dreyfuss later.  In the meantime, check out www.thedreyfussinitiative.org to see where the fake Dick Cheney’s passions truly lie.  I’m posting this now as a test of the MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot.  Selectively giving out demo units in the bloggers lounge this morning, a clever move by Novatel MiFi…not sure how I ever lived without it.  It was charged out of the box, all I needed to do was plug in the USB it came with, install the software and I was posting this in minutes.  Now I’m off to Digital Media Insider where all the content people will be this afternoon.  They’re giving out awards to the Top 25 Digital Media Executives To Watch including Rob Barnett, My Damn Channel, Wilson Cleveland, CJP, David Anderman, Lucasfilm, Zahavah Levine, YouTube, Mark Pincus, Zynga, John Pleasants, Playdom, Avner Ronen, Boxee, Phil Wiser, Sezmi, Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook, Richard Rosenblatt, Demand Media, and more.  And then it will be off to the Atomic Museum and Monster Party after that.
