SXSW, GDC, MIPTV and more
SXSW Film & Interactive kickoffs today, then on the 18th absolutely everyone else descends on Austin as the party spins into high gear to launch the careers of the next big thing in music. Just as SXSW ends on the 22nd, the Burbank Film Festival opens featuring Best Animation winner from the Honolulu Film Festival, Disney animator Ron Noble’s Hope Springs Eternal. That very night Ron along with his Animation Army mix it up at Titmouse Animation Studios (Adult Swim)for a preview of Telltale Games Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures and storyboarding with animation guru Carl H Greenblatt (of SpongeBob fame), now Executive Producer of Cartoon Network’s Chowder. Then practically down the block from Titmouse, at the hip Hollywood Roosevelt, Digital Media Wire showcases all the biggest players in content production/distribution at the Future of Television West, as the gamers head for GDC in San Francisco And right as GDC closes, we wrap up the month in Cannes for MIPTV with the exciting debut of ZillionTV, the next 1000 pound gorilla in the Content NOW space.
